Bride’s Work Sheet

For every wedding we photograph, we have our bride fill our “Bride’s Work Sheet” a couple of weeks before the wedding. We use this worksheet in several ways.

Download a copy here.

  1. Gather names of all of the important members of the bridal party. You look much more professional if you can go into an event, and call all members by name.
  2. Gather names of all vendors your bride and groom are using. Network with these people, and add them to your database.
  3. Gather information on what is important to your bride and groom. If they met in an unusual way, or have special traditions in their families, can you incorporate those ideas into a unique photograph opportunity? For example, if the couple was set up on a blind date by someone in attendance, can you do a unique photograph of them?
  4. Knowledge is very valuable to you. The more you can gather from your couple, the better your event will be. Set up an approximate timeline, and help the couple adhere to it. Understand family situations, and don’t ask for parents to be in photographs together if there are problems. Knowledge will make you appear to be a very sophisticated professional.
